Advertorial for ABC Magazine

Advertorial is a paid-for supplement to advertising. Advertorial is simply advertising using text only.

Advertorial can only be booked in ABC Magazines together with a paid-for ad.

Advertorial can be useful if your product or service requires more explanation than you can fit into an eye-catching ad layout.

Logos cannot be used in advertorial.

The ABC member of staff you have agreed advertorial with will give you a word count and deadline date in writing - either by email or on your order form.

PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR CONTACT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO USE THE ADVERTORIAL SPACE AGREED.

All advertorial will be set in house font and placed alongside your ad. This way your advertorial is linked with your ad and will not appear over the page or in a different section which is common in newspapers and local listings, unless of course you request it to appear not with your advertisement.

All advertorial should be supplied in Word format and emailed to us. We will get back to you as soon as possible if there is a problem with either length or content

Generic Editorial for ABC Magazine

ABC Magazine is editorial-led. This means that the magazine is always on or above the ratio of 60% generic editorial to 40% advertising. This ensures that we are a magazine and not simply listings of ads.

ABC Magazine aims to inform and educate it's readers about family-related subjects and succeeds in making the magazine a reference source to be kept by readers for the full four month period (and beyond for many who keep back issues for future reference.)

Generic editorial should be about the subject matter only and not advertise or promote a company, product or service by name.

When referring to published information, please ensure that you have the permission of the originator before you use it and credit it to them.

The author is credited with a by-line ie Jane Smith, Smith & Sons ltd

Images (photos and illustrations) help break up an article and make it easier to read. If you would like to submit images please ensure you have permission to use these and forward as high resolution jpegs, tiffs or pdfs. (high resolution = minimum of 300 dpi). It's better if you can send us a few images to choose from, so we can select those that work better with the layout of the article.

Logos cannot be used in generic editorial.

The ABC member of staff you have agreed editorial with will give you a word count, an outline of content, a deadline date in writing and the correct email address to send in your submission - usually clearly marked on the order form.

PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR CONTACT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO SUPPLY THE EDITORIAL AGREED.

Generic editorial will be set in house font and using the house style and any paid for ad will appear alongside your article.

All editorial should be supplied in Word format and emailed to us. We will come back to you as soon as possible if there is a problem with the editorial (either in length or content).
